We’ve designed our admissions and selections processes to encourage diversity by providing a fair playing field regardless of your background. Each step helps us to better understand you, your motivations, and your goals.
Provide us with information about your background, why you're interested in software engineering and why you feel like App Academy is a good fit for you. The application will take about 10 minutes to complete.
Take a 30-minute assessment that will allow us to measure your logical reasoning and typing skills. You’ll have 2 opportunities to pass.
Answer a series of questions and we'll assess your professionalism, passion for coding, resiliency and work ethic, etc. during this async online interview. Most applicants will be invited for a second interview if they do not pass on their first attempt.
Once you have passed the non-technical interview, you will be tentatively accepted to your chosen program. Your Admissions Specialist will then give you access to the Mod 0 Technical Challenges.
Send proof of acceptance to BGA:
Once you receive your email, inviting you to complete the Technical Challenges (the subject line will be “Congratulations, you’ve made it to the Mod 0 Technical Challenges!”), you’ll need to download the message and submit it to BGA via this form. This will serve as proof that you have passed your Non-Technical Interview and been accepted to App Academy. This step must be completed by March 27, 2024 in order to be considered for this round of BGA Grants.
Complete challenges on Expressions, Functions & Problem Solving, Control Flow & Debugging, Arrays & Mutability, and HTML/CSS. We'll provide you with everything you'll need to succeed as well as support along the way. You will have two attempts per assessment to pass.
Your admissions specialist will walk you through all the necessary paperwork and ensure all your questions are answered, so you can feel confident about starting your bootcamp!
As a BGA Grant candidate, we encourage you to mark your calendar with the following information.
