App Academy has partnered with Coding Temple to deliver select programs using Coding Temple’s award-winning curriculum, hands-on teaching model, and top-tier career services. It’s still the App Academy experience — but enhanced with Coding Temple’s proven approach to job-ready training.

Will the program still follow App Academy’s high standards?

Absolutely. These programs uphold App Academy’s rigorous admissions process, elite reputation, and student success outcomes — now paired with Coding Temple’s personalized instruction, Tech Residency model, and cutting-edge tools for today’s job market.

Why did App Academy choose to partner with Coding Temple?

Has App Academy expanded its course offerings?

Yes. While App Academy was originally known for its Software Engineering program, students now have access to Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Quality Assurance tracks — all powered by Coding Temple. These new offerings reflect our commitment to meeting the evolving demands of the tech industry and supporting a wider range of career paths.

Admissions

Do I need previous coding experience?

There are no standard prerequisites joining our programs. Successful graduates have entered the program from a wide array of ages, backgrounds, and career levels.

We do have an admissions process, and you will need to demonstrate a level of aptitude that will allow you to succeed. What you need to ask yourself is, “Do I have what it takes to achieve my goals?” This will be one of the hardest but most rewarding experiences in your life.

How do I know which course is right for me?

If you are having trouble deciding on which course to take, our Career Path Comparison Page page is a great resource for you. It provides a side-by-side comparison of different career paths and the specific courses being offered that can help you achieve those goals. The page includes information about the job outlook, salary, and the skills and knowledge that will be covered in each course. This will help you make an informed decision about which path is the best fit for you and your goals.

How long does the admissions process take and when can I expect to hear back?

After speaking with admissions, the next step will be to submit an application and complete an assessment. Once completed, you can expect to receive a decision within 2 business days.

How old do I have to be to enroll?

The minimum age to enroll is 18.

If I want to apply for a later cohort, should I wait to apply?

You can apply at any time. In fact, the earlier you submit your application, the better! Early enrollment ensures you have a seat in your desired cohort and gives you plenty of time to complete the prep work before your course begins.

What is the Blended Learning Model?

Our blended learning model offers the perfect balance between flexibility and support. You’ll engage in daily live sessions with expert instructors and have the freedom to complete self-paced tasks on your schedule. This structure ensures you receive hands-on learning while balancing your lifestyle.

How are the live sessions structured in the Blended Learning Model?

Our live sessions are designed to give you the interaction and guidance you need. Join daily 1-hour live classes that feature real-time collaboration, discussions, and personalized feedback. These sessions are scheduled in the evening for your convenience, and recordings are available for anytime access.

What is the Live Private Cohort option?

Our live private cohort model offers real-time instruction in a fixed schedule format—Monday to Thursday, 5:30–9:30 PM CT. It’s designed for learners who benefit from structure, accountability, and daily engagement with instructors and peers.

Which programs offer the Live Private Cohort option?

The live private cohort model is currently available for our Software Engineering and Cybersecurity programs only. Other courses follow the flexible Blended Learning model.

How is the live private cohort model different from the Blended model?

The live private cohort model follows a fixed 4-hour class schedule (Mon–Thurs), includes more real-time feedback and peer interaction, and requires a higher weekly time commitment. The Blended model offers more flexibility, with optional daily live sessions and self-paced content.

How will I be supported throughout the program?

We’re committed to your success every step of the way. You’ll have daily coaching office hours to get real-time support and guidance. In addition, our 1:1 Student Success Managers are available to assist you with any challenges—whether technical or personal—ensuring you stay on track to meet your goals.

Can I extend the program if needed?

Yes! Our new blended programs offer a built-in, free 2-month extension to ensure you have ample time to complete the course and projects at your own pace. This does not apply to any student who are actively participating in a live or flex program.

What types of projects will I work on?

You’ll work on at least 9 real-world projects throughout the course. These projects are designed to showcase your skills to future employers and provide practical experience in your field. Additionally, you will have access to hands-on Labs that will further deepen your real-life skills.

What makes App Academy's curriculum stand out?

How much does it cost?

We have different pricing depending on the learning structure (blended learning or private live cohort) and payment plan you choose. We have pay-in-full, installment plans, and deferred payment options.

Do you offer a Money-Back Guarantee? (MBG)

Yes. If you are actively job-seeking and following our MBG guidelines*, we offer a full-tuition reimbursement 9 months post-graduation.

Can my employer help pay for my tuition?

Yes, employers can help with your tuition via our Pay-In-Full or Installment Plan options.

What is Deferred Tuition?

Deferred tuition is a type of financing option for students where they pay for their education after they have completed the program and secured employment.

This can help students who may not have the financial means to pay for the full tuition upfront, but are willing to invest in their education with the expectation of a return on their investment through a higher paying job.

You can request to defer payments up until 9 months post-graduation.

What financing options does Coding Temple offer?

We offer upfront payments, installment plans, and deferred payment options.

We recommend consulting with the our admissions team to understand which financing or payment option best suits your needs.

Does financing impact my credit score?

In the pre-qualification process, a soft credit check is conducted with no impact to your credit score. In addition to learning more about your eligibility, you can also see the rates and terms you pre-qualify for.

If you choose to move forward with your loan terms, a hard credit pull is required.

Do I have to pay a deposit if I choose to finance?

No, if you choose to finance your tuition, you will not be required to pay a deposit.

When do I have to pay back my loan?

You can defer payments up until 9 months post-graduation.

What Scholarships are available?

We offer over $10,000 in scholarships to qualified applicants every quarter!
